Including a balance of complex carbohydrates, complete proteins, and healthy fats in your meals.

Carbohydrates provide energy and aid in digestion, proteins support muscle growth, repair and function. Healthy fats full of Omega 3’s & 6’s are essential for various functions and processes within our body.

Consuming a range of fibre-rich foods, such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, and nuts is important. Fibre aids digestion, helps maintain a healthy weight, and can contribute to heart health.

Choose lean proteins, we encourage you to opt for lean protein sources such as poultry, fish, lean meat types, pork/ beef etc, tofu, beans, and legumes. Limiting processed meats.

Incorporating healthy fats in your diet, such as Omega 3 rich fish like salmon, avocados, nuts, seeds, and extra virgin olive oil will encourage healthy bodily functions. These fats are important for brain health and overall well-being.

We teach the concept of mindful eating

It’s the practice of savouring your food, paying attention to the hunger hormone Ghrelin and the fullness hormone Leptin, and avoiding distractions while eating.

Always consider your own, individual needs.

You will need to consider any specific dietary needs or restrictions you may have based on health conditions, allergies, or personal preferences. Considering your own needs, and preferences will help you to keep on track, and to help you enjoy the foods you are eating.

Remember, individual nutritional needs can vary, and it’s important to tailor dietary choices to your own, unique circumstances. If you have specific health concerns or goals, it’s advisable to consult with a David, and work through your concerns together.
